I was going to write you a note.... Yes, I received the Icelandic translation on
Saturday, thank you! I know that poetry is tough to translate and has to
be done literally. I should tell you that before I found your site I was turned down by 8 translators. No one wanted to touch the poetry and my deadline was starting to make me very nervous. Sigurdur understood that the literal translation was necessary and he asked me all the right questions. I have a friend who knows a person in Iceland who was able to look at Sigurdur’s work and he said it was perfect.
All for $70, which will get you a sandwich and two beers in Iceland… you should raise your prices! (but Im not complaining) Thanks so much for doing a great job!
