We select our native Bulgarian translators, editors and proofreaders on the basis of strict criteria, such as professional background, university specialization and references, and they undergo a demanding test translation as well. Out of twenty applicants, we usually do not include more than one or two linguists in our prestigious and carefully maintained database.
As part of our internal quality management system, the work of our Bulgarian translators is checked by another native Bulgarian speaker (editor) from a professional point of view, whose output, in turn, is checked by a third native Bulgarian linguist (proofreader) from a linguistic point of view. Even though using the services of a translation company like ourselves is more expensive than assigning your project directly to freelancers, the inherent risks of using an untested individual make such a co-operation a rather unpredictable enterprise. Another advantage of choosing Harcz & Partner Ltd instead of a native Bulgarian translator is our ability to quickly replace the translator(s) working on your project should they fall ill or decide to abandon the project for one reason or another (vís major). Since we have several excellent and reliable Bulgarian linguists in our team, and since we use translation memory software (such as Trados, SDLX and Wordfast) that ensure terminological consistency even across projects and translators, we can switch from one translator to another even in the middle of a project when this becomes necessary – something only a translation agency with a solid freelancer database (like Harcz & Partner Ltd.) can do without compromising quality.
