Harcz & Partner Ltd. has been offering native Urdu translation, editing and proofreading services since 1999. Urdu is one of the official languages of Pakistan, the other being English. Modern Standard Hindi and Modern Standard Urdu are officially regarded as two different languages in the sociolinguistic sense of the word. However, the two are not even distinct dialects, much rather two different literary styles of the same dialect, which is called Dehlavi.

For this reason, our clients are encouraged to provide us with as many details about the job at hand as possible, such as the exact subject matter, the volume, the technical and software requirements, the expected turn-around, the availability of reference material as well as specialized glossaries whenever available.
Our Urdu translators make use of translation memory software (such as Trados) in order to ensure that terminology be consistent even across projects. This also allows our translation company to charge less for repetitions and fuzzy (partial) matches.
